Hikvision DS-3E0310P-E/M – Description

8 Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged PoE Switch

Reliable PoE Network Connectivity:

The Hikvision DS-3E0310P-E/M is an 8-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged PoE switch designed for reliable network connectivity and efficient power delivery to compatible devices. It features 8 × 10/100 Mbps PoE ports and 2 × Gigabit RJ45 ports, making it suitable for IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones, and other PoE-enabled network devices.

IEEE 802.3af/at PoE Support:

This Hikvision PoE switch supports IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards, providing up to 30 W of PoE power per port. With a total 60 W PoE power budget, it can supply power and network data through a single Ethernet cable, helping simplify installations and reduce cable requirements.

Up to 300 m Long-Range Transmission:

For surveillance applications, the DS-3E0310P-E/M supports long-range PoE transmission of up to 300 meters through Ports 1 to 8. This extended transmission distance can be useful when installing Hikvision IP cameras in larger areas where standard Ethernet transmission distances may not be sufficient. Actual performance can vary depending on the camera model and cable condition.

Fast and Efficient Network Performance:

With a 5.6 Gbps switching capacity and a 4.17 Mpps packet forwarding rate, this unmanaged PoE switch is designed for efficient data transmission. Wire-speed forwarding and store-and-forward switching help provide stable communication between connected network devices while supporting smooth IP surveillance data transfer.

Durable Fan-Free Metal Design:

The Hikvision switch features a solid high-strength metal shell and a reliable fan-free design. Its fanless construction helps reduce operating noise while minimizing moving components. The compact design measures 217.6 × 103.35 × 27.8 mm, making it suitable for desktop or wall-mounted installations in different networking environments.

Enhanced Surge Protection:

The DS-3E0310P-E/M provides 6 kV surge protection for PoE ports, helping improve reliability in environments where electrical surges may affect connected network equipment. This feature is particularly useful for IP surveillance installations where cameras and network devices may be installed in challenging conditions.

Easy Plug-and-Play Installation:

As an unmanaged network switch, the DS-3E0310P-E/M is designed for straightforward installation without requiring complicated network configuration. It supports desk-mounted and wall-mounted installation, allowing businesses, homes, offices, and surveillance systems to integrate the switch according to their available space.

Efficient Power Consumption:

The 8 port switch operates with a 48 VDC, 1.35 A power supply and has a maximum power consumption of 65 W, while idle power consumption is approximately 5 W. Its fan-free design and efficient PoE architecture make it a practical choice for continuous network operation.

Ideal for IP Surveillance and Networking:

The Hikvision DS-3E0310P-E/M is well suited for CCTV systems, IP cameras, small business networks, offices, retail stores, and access control installations. Its combination of PoE connectivity, Gigabit uplink ports, long-range transmission, surge protection, and compact metal construction provides a practical networking solution for modern surveillance environments.
