HPE Networking Instant On Switch 1940 40-Port Gigabit + 8-Port 2.5G Class 6 PoE, 4-Port SFP+ 600W — S4A35A

HPE Networking Instant On Switch 1940 S4A35A

is a high-capacity managed PoE switch designed for small and medium-sized businesses that require high-density Gigabit connectivity, faster 2.5GbE ports, and high-speed network uplinks.

The switch provides 40 × Gigabit Ethernet ports and 8 × 2.5GbE ports. The 40 Gigabit ports support Class 4 PoE, while the 8 × 2.5GbE ports support Class 6 PoE, making the switch particularly suitable for powering modern high-performance Wi-Fi access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and other PoE devices. The complete switch has a substantial 600W PoE power budget.

For network uplinks and aggregation, the S4A35A includes 4 dedicated SFP+ ports, supporting high-speed fiber connections of up to 10GbE. This configuration is especially useful where multiple 2.5GbE access points need faster uplinks to the network core or servers.

The S4A35A is part of the HPE Networking Instant On 1940 family, introduced as a newer SMB switching platform with enhanced 2.5GbE and PoE capabilities.
